The basis of this popular science essay was the dissertation of G. Shahidi on the interconnections and mutual enrichment of Tajik and Russian literature in the 20-30s of the XX century. The author defended this work many years ago at the Rudaki Institute of Language and Literature of the Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan. On the day of defense leading Tajik literary scholars, doctors of philological sciences noted the high significance of the study. The author Gulsifat Shahidi made an invaluable contribution to the development of the theme of the attitude of Russian poets and writers to the rich heritage of Tajik-Persian literature.
